About In-edit

In-edit is a fully-featured content management module of In-portal, designed to ease the maintenance of the content pages on websites driven by In-portal. In-edit seamlessly integrates with the In-portal platform and other modules. The highlights of the new features include:

Content Management

In-edit provides an interface to navigate the website front end in the administrative mode and adds the ability to edit the content with one mouse click. Every editable content block will display an ‘Edit’ button right before the actual content and every page will have an ‘Edit page’ button in the upper left corner. 



Clicking the ‘Edit’ button brings up an online WYSIWYG editor, where the administrator may edit the content of the block, using all of the advanced features of HTML. Saving the block instantly updates its content on the website.



Clicking the ‘Edit page’ button opens the dialog where the administrator may adjust general page properties such as Title, Meta information and path. With the Apache’s mod_rewrite feature, In-edit allows setting virtually any URL for the content pages.

In-edit also adds a capability of placing editable content blocks on other In-portal templates, such as category, link or product listings, shopping cart pages, etc.

Structure Management

In-edit allows managing the strucutre of the website by integrating into In-portal’s central catalog of categories. In-edit allows storing virtual pages inside any category, much the same way In-link allows storing links, In-commerce – products and so on. With In-edit, the administrator may create new content pages based on the predefined templates. In-edit is capable of displaying single level or multiple level menus, including nested, dynamic menus, site maps and other navigation elements related to the site’s structure.

 

In-edit integrates with other In-portal modules and allows using any of the categories for building the site structure and displaying menus. For example, an online store website may have several content sections and several store categories in the menu. The content sections will be editable by In-edit and store categories will display product listings managed by In-commerce.

Processing of Online Forms

In-edit includes powerful capabilities of creating and processing the online forms. Administrator may create an unlimited number of forms, each with its own set of fields and validation rules..In-edit will control the display, submission and processing of the forms. It will also keep track of every submission and notify assigned personnel by e-mail.
